Teresa Booth

Teresa brings a wealth of experience with public information programs to the agency, having spent more than 20 years with the Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas. Teresa’s expertise is centered on community outreach, education programs, minority outreach and programming for limited resource families.

Teresa has developed nutrition curriculum materials, public service announcements, educational workshops and educational exhibits for limited resource families at the community level throughout the state. She also spent years conducting leader training and expanded food and nutrition education programs throughout the state. She is the former program coordinator of Strong Families/Safe Communities. She also implemented the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program in conjunction with Arkansas Department of Health. For years, Teresa also taught Home Economics and the Science Head Start Program in the Little Rock Public Schools.

Her awards for her service are numerous. Teresa received the Service Award for dedicated service to families and youth. From the Arkansas Association of Extension Home Economists, she has received the Monsanto Team Award for nutrition educational exhibits and from the Arkansas Association of Extension Home Economists, she has received the Packaged Program Team Award for nutrition programs.

She has a B.S. in Home Economics Education from the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff and a master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
