Little Rock, Ark. - The Communications Group, a Little Rock-based marketing, public relations and advertising firm, has hired Jason Brown as a public relations specialist in the agency's public relations department. Brown handles public relations, social media programs and special events for clients including the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board, Better Beginnings, ARKids First and The First Tee of Central Arkansas.
Brown has experience with nonprofit public relations and has been an active social media advocate for nonprofits including the YMCA, Our House and The First Tee. Brown is an avid musician and plays drums for the band Brown Soul Shoes. He also founded a successful barbeque competition called the B Street Rib Off. This year's competition, held Nov. 6 in Little Rock, included 45 teams competing from throughout the state. The proceeds from the BBQ contest benefit a local cancer organization.
Brown has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a native of Forrest City.
