The Communications Group Wins UAMS Branding Project

April 11, 2003; Little Rock, Ark.The Communications Group, a Little Rock-based marketing, advertising, public relations and strategic marketing planning firm, has been selected from a field of competitive bidders to handle a new branding campaign for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

Among a field of seven Arkansas advertising and marketing agencies, The Communications Group’s proposal received the highest score in the competitive review process. The purpose of the new campaign, according to UAMS officials, is to develop creative concepts for a campaign on behalf of UAMS in order to raise the awareness among key audiences of the significant role played by UAMS in Arkansas and to shine a spotlight on the excellent clinical care available at the institution.

Dan Cowling, president of The Communications Group, said, “This project represents a perfect fit for our agency. We were responsible for helping UAMS launch one of their very first advertising campaigns back in 1993. Over the years, our firm has specialized in working with healthcare institutions and health-related organizations to build their brand awareness, so we are pleased to be working once again with one of the state’s premier healthcare organizations.”

The UAMS campaign will include radio, television and print components and is scheduled to launch in June of this year.
