Verizon Wireless PR account picked up by The Communications Group
April 13, 2007; Little Rock, Ark. – Dan Cowling, president of the Little Rock marketing firm, The Communications Group, said the agency has just picked up several national public relations accounts including Verizon Wireless. Cowling said The Communications Group is quietly building a roster of high profile national public relations clients.
The agency began providing public relations services in Arkansas for the Verizon Wireless account April 1. Verizon Wireless, headquartered in Basking Ridge, NJ, owns and operates the nation’s most reliable wireless network, serving 56.7 million voice and data customers.
Other national public relations clients include Texas Gas Transmission, a natural gas pipeline company based in Kentucky; Boardwalk Pipeline Partners out of Houston, Texas; the Delta Regional Authority (DRA), a federal agency based in Mississippi; and national pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
The firm’s public relations team is led by Lisa Bondurant, a veteran public relations practitioner who has been working in the Arkansas market for almost 20 years. Bondurant has been at The Communications Group for 10 years and has helped build the public relations department from the ground up. Since then, the agency’s public relations billings have increased about 400 percent.
Bondurant has a master’s degree in communication and is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America. She says that the company has built a reputation for providing results with some of the most outstanding service to be found in the market. “It is our public relations department’s culture to over-service our clients. We earn our clients’ trust through relationship building and listening.”
