Jason Brown
Public Relations Specialist
Jason is a public relations specialist for The Communications Group. He joined the agency in 2010 after completing a marketing and public relations internship with The First Tee of Central Arkansas. In his current position, Jason is responsible for the public relations and special event planning for a variety of the agency’s outreach and education clients, including the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board, ARKids First and Better Beginnings.
Jason has an affinity for nonprofit public relations and has been an active social media advocate for nonprofits ranging from the YMCA to Our House to The First Tee. His experience includes planning fundraisers, 5K runs, community fairs and safety
awareness days.
In his spare time Jason started a successful barbeque competition called the B Street Rib Off. The proceeds from his BBQ contest benefit a local nonprofit organization. Jason is also an avid musician. He has played the drums since he was 6 and is the drummer for the band Brown Soul Shoes.
Jason has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a native of Forrest City.
