Little Rock-based marketing, advertising and PR firm, The Communications Group, added another member to its industrial manufacturing B2B (iB2B) team in July. ComGroup welcomed James Inwood as iB2B project manager. Inwood, who is Hootsuite and Hubspot certified, will work with clients, both locally and nationally, on paid and earned media programs.

Dan Cowling, president of The Communications Group, a marketing, advertising and public relations firm, announced today that the company has promoted Jason Brown, APR, to Director of Public Relations. In this position, Brown will manage the agency’s public relations staff and services.
Brown earned APR accreditation in public relations in 2016 from the Public Relations Society of America. APR credentials require a candidate pass a rigorous peer review, professional exam, adhere to strict ethical and professional standards in the practice of public relations, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Brown has been with ComGroup for six years, most recently serving as Senior Public Relations Specialist. His contributions to the agency’s PR team include work for the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board, Behind the Badge, and Better Beginnings, among others.
Brown attended Arkansas State University (ASU) and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. Little Rock, Ark – Positive Impressions won a bronze award in the 2017 Pyramid Award Competition sponsored by Promotional Products Association International (PPAI). A total of 39 Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were recognized at the PPAI Award Presentation and Reception held in January at the PPAI Expo in Las Vegas.
John Festa, owner of Positive Impressions, of Little Rock, was presented a Bronze award in the category of Diversity & Social Responsibility Programs for the Arkansas Behind the Badge campaign. Behind the Badge was created by The Communications Group of Little Rock as a pro bono campaign to show support for the men and women in law enforcement.
Positive Impressions provided 10,000 free bumper stickers to the Behind the Badge campaign, which featured uniformed officers from Little Rock Police Department, North Little Rock Police Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. In the first 6 months of Behind the Badge, the campaign generated nearly 3 million impressions.

ComGroup launched a national search in November as a result of growth in the company’s iB2B Group (industrial business-to-business). The agency’s industrial B2B marketing practice continued the growth trend with the January addition of another national industrial manufacturing client in the Mid-Atlantic. Fahr joins the agency with 20 years of experience focused on B2B customers, emphasizing industrial and manufacturing clients. Fahr concentrates on digital marketing, search engine marketing, media strategy, development, planning and buying.
