Interactive website takes two top honors in international competition
Dan Cowling, president of The Communications Group, a leading regional agency, said the agency had just been notified by the Interactive Media Awards (IMA) that it had taken top honors in two categories for its recently designed agency website.
Cowling said the new website had been awarded – Best in Class – in the IMA competition in the Advertising category and in the Communications category. The competition included websites from internationally known brands such as DirectTV, Volvo, Sony Ericsson and the NFL.
An IMA spokesman said the Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed and represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. Entries were judged on five criteria; design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance. The judges are distinguished practicing internet professionals from organizations such as Microsoft, Hearst, Forrester Research, OgilvyOne and MetLife. Judges are members of the IMC (Interactive Media Council), a nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence on the internet. The Communications Group’s rebranding campaign has been anchored by the new website at comgroup.com. The website was designed by a team led by Jason Brown, the agency’s Digital Group leader. The new website features videos, music, Spotify® playlists from each staffer and a unique new blog feature titled, Your Branded Life.
|NEW BLOG| The new Your Branded Life blog focuses on the concept of personal branding. Cowling, author of the blog, says, “The blog allows professionals to reflect on how their personal brand is affecting their success and happiness.” Cowling, who has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas, offers workshops and classes based on Your Branded Life.
