Q&A with Lisa:
Q: What adjectives would you use to describe your childhood? Why?
Interesting, international, adventurous, migratory (we moved a lot), cool (until my status as an only child was interrupted), horsey.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
That I was a rebellious hellion who got suspended from school once. And was the only girl my bus driver ever paddled – he was way more upset about it than I was.
Q: What was your college major and why did you choose it?
Undergrad: Radio, TV, and Film – I wanted to be a producer.
Graduate degree: Interpersonal and Organizational Communication – because I am a scholar of communication I’m fascinated with theory and application.
Q: What is your most significant accomplishment as a professional?
1) Becoming a principal and owner of the best ad agency in the state. 2) Followed closely by mentoring, coaching and developing some of the best PR talent in the region, 3) Followed by not upchucking in the governor’s lap during a particularly turbulent 5-city fly-around press tour via small aircraft (notable because 2 other people in our group of 5 did barf.)
Q: What is your favorite food?
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
My role as the parent of a seriously cool kid.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Ride my bike as often and as far as possible.
Q: If you could possess one super-human power, what would it be?
I would like to be invisible.
