When the world’s largest employer crunched their employee health data, it revealed something troubling: despite good health insurance, prenatal care and negative birth outcomes were on the rise for pregnant employees. How could this international company, known for its strong culture and employee loyalty, build an educational campaign that positively impacted health outcomes for pregnant employees?
THE FINAL
Result
ComGroup designed an education and outreach campaign targeting all the company’s female employees of childbearing age. The campaign encouraged pregnant women or those considering starting a family to take a health risk assessment via the company’s health insurance partner. Regardless of risk level, every pregnant employee was given a specially produced Life with Baby prenatal book, along with “care” packages mailed to the employee each trimester.
Following the birth of their baby, every employee was also given a Life with Baby: the first 2 years book to help new parents navigate the complex world of infant and toddler care. ComGroup wrote, designed and produced the two books. The books were printed and offered online to enrolled employees. Thousands of pregnant employees enrolled in the campaign and were paired with a registered nurse health coach for the duration of their pregnancy and for 6 weeks postpartum.
