The CGXperience Overview
Become immersed in an agency where value is placed on creativity, strategy and insight. As a paid intern at The Communications Group you’ll be fully integrated into the day-to-day activities of not only an agency, but a team while also leading your own, individual projects to discover what it is truly like to develop a career.
Job Repsonsibilities:
-
Agency Promotion: Plan, schedule, and regularly promote the news and accomplishments of ComGroup through social media, news releases, blogs, and more.
-
Capture video content to show ComGroup's personality. Might be detailed, planned projects or we might just need a quick story, video, reel or live video post to help us get in on trending conversations.
-
CGXperience Instagram Account Management: Develop fresh and engaging content that adheres to our content calendar and accomplishes our objectives.
-
Map out your goals and objectives based on your interests. Work with the CG team to develop a long-term project to serve as the beginning of a work portfolio that you can use to help start your professional career.
What we expect of you:
-
Must be a college junior or senior pursuing a degree in communications, PR, marketing, advertising or a related field.
-
Solution-Oriented Mindset. In our line of work, we face many challenges. Daily. When presenting a problem, we expect you to have a suggested solution.
-
Be a team player. The CGXperience is designed to teach you how to work with a team to serve clients well. You will complete personal traffic items, but will also be willing to step up with solutions and help teammates when necessary.
-
Be coachable. As writers and creators, constructive feedback is part of our job, and it’s where you will learn some of the most valuable lessons throughout your career. You'll need to be receptive to edits and eager to implement feedback when revising assignments.
-
Value organization while staying flexible. You'll turn in a weekly plan every Monday, just like the rest of the Groupers. It will be a detailed, organized to-do list. BUT SOMETIMES, actually a lot of the time, things pop up. But that's normal, so stay calm and go with what's asked.
-
Your Unique Ability. We want to know a random talent or skill you've deemed unworthy of your resume, but that add value to your life.
What you can expect of us:
-
A fun and fast workplace.
-
A work environment that welcomes your ideas and suggestions, big or small.
-
A paycheck. We'll pay you to spend time learning from our experts and contributing to the team.
