Ask any Grouper, and they will tell you Kassie Booker keeps everything together. Kassie, The Communications Group’s former office manager, was recently promoted to client services coordinator. To celebrate Kassie and her achievements, we sat down with her to learn more about her and her experience at ComGroup.

The Interview:

Kassie, how long have you been at ComGroup?

Just 10 months. It'll be a year in June.

Oh, my goodness. It's almost your anniversary.

I know!

What is your favorite part of being a Grouper?

Oh, wow. My favorite part of being a Grouper... I would have to say it's the feeling of family here, you know? We are a pretty tight-knit group around here.

For sure. Is there anything going on in the life of Kassie that we should know about?

My son is getting ready to turn 20, which is mind-blowing. I also just bought a house with a pool. I’m a first-time pool owner, so that's been a fun learning experience.

Are you good at cleaning the pool?

Well, yes. I've just figured out that I am very good at cleaning the pool, so that's my superpower. That's my claim to fame that I'm a good pool cleaner and may have missed my calling. At this point, I'm just waiting for it to get warm so that I can enjoy it.

Kassie, what do you like to do in your time outside of ComGroup? Do you have any guilty pleasures?

There are so many. How do I narrow it down to just one?! Shoot, I would have to say Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. They're so good. I also like to drink wine.

And let’s see, aside from cleaning my pool… I like to spend time with my family, and I like to read. The beach is my favorite place, so if I have an opportunity to do that, then I’m there.

What phrase do you use the most at work?

“Done,” “added,” or “thank you.”

You definitely say those quite a bit. Everyone says that since you started at ComGroup, it was apparent your skillset exceeded your job description. What qualities do you have that make you excel?

I'm organized, task-oriented and a process person. I like to understand a process from beginning to end, and I'm not afraid of challenges. I think that willingness to dive in and understand a process has helped me get a broader view of how the agency works and where I can fit in and assist.

Now that you’re the client services coordinator, what are you most excited about?

I’m looking forward to getting to understand the ins and outs of the clients better and being more involved in a client-facing role versus a support role.

How do you think you will utilize your skills as the client services coordinator?

It’ll be a learning experience and a learning process. I'll be incorporating my task-oriented brain to learn all aspects of client services.

Kassie, thank you for chatting with me. Congratulations on your new role!
